FXR Racing, one of North America’s leading manufacturers of high-performance winter gear, approached us with a request to create powerful, marketing-focused photography for their new seasonal collection. The visuals were intended for their product catalogue, e-commerce platform, and digital marketing campaigns. FXR needed images that showcased the durability, insulation performance, and rugged style of their apparel in authentic cold-weather conditions. Instead of staged studio shots, the client wanted content that reflected real outdoor activities, especially ice fishing, which is a core use case for this line of technical winter gear.
We developed a detailed production plan and carried out a large-scale photoshoot in the harsh winter conditions of Manitoba. The environment offered the perfect balance of natural beauty and extreme weather, creating ideal locations such as frozen lakes, thick snow fields, and wide open areas commonly used for ice fishing. Temperatures dropping low added both realism and technical challenges, including equipment performance, fluctuating natural light, and tight shooting windows.
Working alongside FXR brand ambassadors and real outdoor enthusiasts, we captured dynamic, story-driven scenes that highlighted how the gear protects and performs during long hours on the ice. We provided end-to-end production support, including location scouting, logistics, field coordination, professional retouching, and final file preparation, resulting in a set of polished, high-impact visuals tailored for catalogue spreads, online listings, and advertising materials.
